  2. As a Canadian who has sorrowfully watched the steady decline of the USA geopolitically and economically, I and many of my countrymen look forward to a fresh leadership approach and we pray that President Elect Obama will successfully navigate the many obstacles that have seriously dented a wonderful country and a wonderful people. May the Good Lord guide him and give him the wisdom and the courage to stand up to the many powerful adversaries he will face in the months ahead. It is surely time to say “enough” to the special interests to which the current administration has allowed to harm your country.

  3. Here in Australia we watched as the most critical election in the USA’s recent history unfolded.
Americans have impressed us all with their commitment to change, and their ability to accept and actively support a coloured candidate for the Presidential office.
There is no doubt that Barack Obama will prove himself to be one of America’s greatest Presidents.
America can now realise it’s unlimited ability to positively contribute and influence the future of all of us.
Americans can now look forward to being accepted and involved in the community of nations without suspicion or reservation.
We wish you the very best of what you can and should achieve.
    Kim.

  5. I am a Jamaican born Canadian, but first and foremost, I am a citizen of the world as we all are. What has taken place has changed not only the face of America but, has given hope to the dreams and aspirations that we all have. We now feel all things are possible. Not just for blacks, but for anyone who has a dream.
I am blessed to be see this happen in my lifetime. May President Obama govern with conscience and wisdom, which from what I have seen, he will. God speed.

  9. Mr Obama,
South Africans are very proud of your achievement.
Let it be that the promise you make, will be the promise you will fulfill. The world knows that you cannot change the damage that has been there for 8 or more years in 1,2 or 3 years but try your best and where your best fails you, you have a STRONG WOMAN by your side – she will help you to carry on. If God has put you there, he will carry you to the end. May God bless you and America
