Supreme Court Lets the Vacating of the Lay Conviction Stand
Not unexpectedly, the Supreme Court refused to review the vacating of Ken Lay’s conviction. (See here and here; see also Wall Street Jrl here) The law clearly holds that when an accused passes away prior to being sentenced, the indictment gets dismissed. (esp)
