Yesterday, John & Timothy Rigas, former founder and CFO of Adelphia reported to prison. (see Yahoo news here)  Although they were hoping for a facilty in Pennsylvania near their home, the BOP gave them a facility in North Carolina. The punishment in these situations is often to the family of the individual who has to travel a greater distance to visit the incarcerated person. On the bright side, they were allowed to report directly to the facility as opposed to some who are hop-scotched across the country until they arrive at their final destination.
